Licensing and Inspection Services
The Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department is an agent for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection (DATCP) and the Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS). We provide inspection, consultation and licensing services for the following types of facilities in Washington and Ozaukee Counties:

Restaurants & Retail Food
2.
Public Swimming Pools & Water Attractions
3.
Hotels, Motels, Tourist Rooming Houses & Bed and Breakfasts
4.
Tattoo & Body Piercing
5.
Campgrounds & Recreational/Educational Campgrounds
A license must be obtained before opening to the public
Licenses are not transferable
All licenses expire June 30 of each year
License fees are not prorated

License Application
An advisory inspection may be requested by a prospective buyer.
During this inspection the physical facilities are assessed for DATCP code compliance which does not necessarily include building code compliance. The fee for the services is $175. If the buyer proceeds with the purchase, the fee is applied to the licensing fees.
