COVID-19 Industry Guidance

The Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department has created this page to provide guidance and resources for industries as they consider reopening throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The documents and resources provided are recommendations based in science and best practice. The various industries we inform should feel empowered to make decisions and create operational plans and policies that work best for them. We will continue to update guidance as the pandemic progresses and will do our best to keep everyone informed with the most up-to-date data and resources we have available. We also encourge you to continue referring to the CDC, WHO, and the WI Department of Health Services for additional information.
Email covid19@washozwi.gov if you have any questions.

Blueprint for Reopening

The Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department (WOPHD) released the “Blueprint for Reopening Washington and Ozaukee Counties” on April 21st. The Blueprint provides broad guidance for reopening the economy safely and incrementally after Governor Evers’ Safer at Home order is lifted.

The corresponding FAQ document (below) provides industry-specific recommendations and check-lists for businesses and organizations to implement as appropriate for their individual needs. The Blueprint and FAQ are “living” documents that will continue to develop over time.

Disclaimer: Given the rapidly changing nature of COVID-19 in our counties, our department will continue to develop guidance, but will cease from updating the FAQ. New guidance will be published to this page in the sections above. You may refer to the FAQ for guidance that was created early in our COVID response, but may become outdated. Also, continue to refer to resources from CDC and the WI Department of Health Services for the most up-to-date information.
