Cycling Without Age
In May 2018, a new Cycling Without Age chapter will be launched out of the Samaritan Health Center, a nursing home in West Bend. Cycling Without Age is an international non-profit organization that coordinates bike rides for the elderly or less-mobile people in the population. This is done through the use of a rickshaw, a three-wheeled bike with a passenger cart in front so that one bicyclist can escort 1-2 people around town. Volunteer “pilots” from the community can offer to bike Samaritan residents around West Bend to local shops, parks, and attractions.
